Community feedback is highlighting the poor state of our roads in Western Victoria.
How about a Local Government VICROADS model, where all the roads except National Highways become under the management of Local Councils. Councils that can't dodge their responsibilities as we are closest to the people and you all let us know when you are not happy.
Finance for roads come from State and Federal Taxes, Fuel excise, Fuel GST, registrations and licensing. How much money is collected and from where? I call this Truth in Taxing.

Today has had two firsts for Southern Grampians Shire Council.
We had the first meeting of the Planning Committee to consider a planning permit application. And we councillors met before midday on a Wednesday!
It is good to see a reform I have suggested and supported, along with other councillors, working for our Shire.

Two strategic projects I have lobbied successfully for and which will be absolute game changers are returning Passenger Rail and the re establishment of a Meat Processing Plant in Hamilton.
This is why I put my hand up for elected office. To get things done which develop community services and jobs, without negatively impacting on our heritage and environment.
